Shirley Ann Drake

Shirley Ann Drake was born in Turlock, CA to Jesse and Lola Arrollo. She graduated from high school in El Cerrito, CA and started her secretarial career at the U.C. Berkeley Radiation Lab. After her children were a little older, she continued her career in Modesto, CA working as a medical receptionist. Shirley was very active in her children’s school years at Sacred Heart Grammar School in Turlock, CA. She dearly loved tennis, which she didn’t start playing until her 30’s. She played until her knees forced her to stop.

Her biggest achievements in Tennis were playing one year on the team for Cal State Stanislaus and winning a doubles championship at the Turlock Racket Club Tennis Tournament with Mark Stevens

Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Tom Drake, parents Jesse and Lola Arrollo, and infant son Kevin Lee Gregg. She is survived by her children, Michael Gregg (Kathy) of Casa Grande, AZ, Teresa Kellstrom, of Turlock, CA; Deanna Dover (Brian) of Covina, CA, four grandchildren, Sierra Amaral, Hailey Kellstrom, Michael Gregg, and Tyler Gregg, 2 great grandchildren, Jackson Amaral and Hannah Amaral. Shirley is also, survived by her step-children, Jason Drake and Lisa Meza.

A graveside service will be held at Lakewood Memorial Park, 900 Santa Fe Avenue, Hughson, CA in Tuolumne Garden

A visitation for Shirley will be held Thursday, January 18, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Lakewood Funeral Home, 900 Santa Fe Ave, Hughson, CA 95326. A funeral service will occur Friday, January 19, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 900 Santa Fe Ave, Hughson, CA 95326. A committal service will occur Friday, January 19, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Lakewood Memorial Park, 900 Santa Fe Ave, Hughson, CA 95326.
