Robert Edward Bergstrom

Robert was born in San Diego, CA to Stan & Mary Bergstrom. He attended Astoria High School & Pacific Lutheran University. Bob married Linda on January 6, 1968. They moved to Seattle, WA where they were blessed with 2 beautiful children.

The family eventually moved to Hillsboro, OR where Bob's career started with Carnation Can Company. They loved their life in Oregon visiting relatives on weekends in Seaside and Astoria where their parents lived. In 1980 Bob received a promotion and the family relocated to Modesto, CA. He was so excited to give his children a large home with a pool in the backyard. Bob worked for Silgan Containers for 38 years, retiring in 2011. Immediately after retirement, Bob & Linda took their Motorhome on "one lap of America" where they traveled across the country to almost every state making it all the way up to Maine. It was a lifelong dream of theirs to do, and he made sure to make it happen. In retirement, Bob enjoyed the Elks RV Club and going to the Elks to enjoy friends. He also was a member of the Sunset Lions Club for many years where he attended countless number of events and served as a board member for several years. He also spent much time with his family and was extremely proud of all his Grandchildren. Bob is survived by his children Brian (Kelli) and Jennifer (Kevin). Grandchildren Samantha (Jeff), Cody (Elsa), Ryan (Taylor), and Kyle. Great Grandchildren Emma, Kamryn, Ellie, and Nolan. Surrounded by his family, Bob passed away on Sunday August 7, 2022, at the age of 75. Memorial Service to be held at Lakewood Memorial Park, 900 Santa Fe Avenue, Hughson, CA on Saturday August 20th, 2022, at 1:00 pm. Reception following at the Elks Lodge 645 Charity Way, Modesto, CA at 3:00 pm.
