Matthew Shane Quillen

Matthew Shane Quillen (Coach Matt) was no stranger to battling for a win. Whether in life or on the court he gave it his all. Matthew earned his final “W” when he took his last breath, surrounded by family and friends, at his home on March 21, 2021 in Turlock, CA. Heaven’s gain is our “Loss”.

Matthew was born on March 3, 1981 in Reno, NV. Matthew was greeted in Heaven at the age of 40, by his dad Sherman Quillen, His brother-in-law Colton Kelley, and grandparents John and Edith Quillen and Ted and Zelpha Hodge.

Matthew is survived by his wife of 16 years Rhiannon Quillen and their four beautiful children Gracie Diane, Macie Leann, Matthew Sherman-Jeffery, and Lila Christine. His parents Leann Quillen and Jerry & Susan Quillen, mother-in-law Diane (Dave) Kekahuna. His sibling Sherrie (Chuck) Wallace, Karen (Darrell) Adams, Roger (Kim) Quillen, Gregory Quillen, Bethann (Scott) Bispo, Marren (Rhonda) Quillen, Amy (Robert) Huffman, and Jerry (Jessica) Quillen. Lastly, 4 nieces, 11 nephews, 10 great nieces, 4 great nephews, aunts, uncles and countless cousins and friends.

Matthews Celebration of Life will be Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 11:00 am at Haven of Hope Church 5450 7th Street, Keyes, CA 95328. Immediately following the conclusion of the service family and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Ceremony at Lakewood Memorial Park located at 900 Santa Fe Ave, Hughson, CA 95326. A reception will be held following the conclusion of the services at Haven of Hope Church and all are invited to attend.
