Shirley and family.   

I was so sorry to hear about Art’s passing.  I just recently found out.   Art was such a great person.   He could laugh and make you laugh at about most anything.   He was fun to have as a classmate and will be truly missed by so many people.  May God be with you and your family in this time of grief and always.   With love from Janet (Gregg) Bowman

So sorry I missed attending the Service for Art. He was an Icon in Hughson while I was growing up there. Art was a few years older than me, but someone as a kid I always admired with his cars and friendly smile. Later in life we became friends and took many trips riding motorcycles and camping with the family. Art never got excited, he could make you laugh over any situation and had that smile that was contagious. We got snowed in one time while riding motorcycles, art and I walked in the snow for about 2 hours to town, we were soaking wet, we went into a laundry mat, Art took his clothes off put them in the dryer, after about 2 minutes, the storm knocked out the power. Art said putting the wet clothes back on was worse the second time, but laughed about it anyway. My  condolences to you and family Shirley he will  be missed, but his stories and smile will last forever. 

A true gentleman and great friend to all of us that fished and shared so much of life on the River.  I know you’re up there sharing stories with our friends and my dad; just remember, fishermen never lie.  Shirley, my condolences, Art was a kind soul - seems like yesterday he came down the road and agreed that a margarita sounded good!

I am so sorry for your loss.  Art was someone that was always fun to be around.  While I haven't lived in Hughson for many years I still have great memories of Art.  Train rides and parties where he would make everyone laugh.  
You will be in our thoughts and prayers this Friday and may his memory be a blessing to you as it is to me.
