Altagracia was born in the vibrant lands of Mexico, a place she fondly remembered as her favorite in the world, where she often reminisced about the "good ol’ days" and the cherished times with her late parents. Her love for her hometown remained steadfast throughout her life.
She was an incredible woman with a zest for life. Altagracia loved to sing and dance, filling every room with music, laughter, and warmth. She had an unmatched gift for storytelling, captivating everyone around her with her jokes and vivid tales. Her love for music was profound and timeless. Altagracia was a devoted fan of Las Jilguerillas, Los Tigres del Norte, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Los Bukis, Juan Gabriel, Patrulla 81, Lorenzo De Monte Claro, and the lively beats of cumbias. Music brought her happiness, and her favorite songs remain an eternal soundtrack to the vibrant life she lived.
Above all, Altagracia was the heart and soul of her family. Nothing brought her greater joy than being a loving mother and grandmother. She leaves behind her devoted husband of 35 years, Juan Vasquez, her five children: Jaime Velasquez, Erik Velasquez, Ricardo Velasquez, Alejandro Velasquez, and Karina Vasquez, along with 13 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
