Willie Lee Barnes

Mrs. Willie Lee Smith Barnes , 87 peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 24, 2012. She was surrounded by her family and a host of angels as she made her transition to her new life and body. She was born in Houston, Texas on April 23, 1925 to the late Marion and Willie Lee Smith. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Marion and Louis Smith; half-brother, Clifton E. Smith; half-sister, Mrs. Marion Kerr; as well as her first husband, Curtis L. Terrell, Sr. She is survived by a half-sister, Mrs. Jewell Henderson of Houston, son, Curtis L. Terrell, Jr. of Houston, four daughters: Ms. Tanya A. Wall of Conyers, Georgia, Mrs. Holly L. Smith (Ceaser) of Missouri City, Texas, Ms. Lorna K. Finch (Donald) of Lithonia, Georgia and Ms. Angela T. Price of Houston, Texas; four grandchildren Mrs. Valerie (David) Snow, Mr. Curtis (Rhonda) L. Terrell III, Mr. Jason (Venus) Price and Mr. Morris David Wall; three great grandchildren, nieces, a nephew and a tremendous number of relatives, friends, sorority sisters, neighbors and church members. She was a faithful member of Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church an active member of the Prayer Ministry, the SAMS Ministry, the Houston Prayer Warriors and Eta Phi Beta Sorority Xi Chapter. The visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at 5:00pm - 8:00pm. A memorial service will be on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at 1:00pm both services will be held at Brookside Funeral Home.
