Bill was an entrepreneur from an early age, starting his first business at the age of 7, an orange drink stand in 1956 selling his first drink for 6 cents. Billy loved causing trouble and having fun as a boy riding his motorcycle which he had won in a contest. That same mischievous spirit has been with him ever since. Bill attended Westbury High School and later earned a degree in Business Administration from Belhaven College. Bill started his career working very hard for Encyclopedia Britannica and later found greater success and purpose in the insurance and securities industry. Bill also earned the designation of Certified Financial Planner while running his own business – Economic Horizons. His favorite part was being his own boss. This allowed Bill the freedom to follow his dreams of owning land, having cattle and everything else that goes with it. Additionally, he dedicated his time and talents serving the church in many callings over the years. He especially enjoyed serving as a temple worker in the Houston Texas Temple and as an operator in the peanut butter cannery for many years. Ever the entrepreneur, he formulated perfect cattle feed using peanut hearts generated by the cannery. His cows have never been happier.
Bill loved and cherished his wife Lesley of 29 years and will continue to love her throughout the eternities. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Dallas Texas Temple in 1994. They loved to travel, taking many cruises, traveling to Aruba, Argentina, Spain, Italy, St Martin as well as many domestic destinations.
The family would like to thank the staff at Memorial Hermann Katy for the care and compassion received.
