Wendell attended Lufkin High School and Prairie View A&M University where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration. He worked in education for twenty years where he served as a mentor, a teacher, and an administrator.
He was a member of Fifth Ward’s Church of Christ. His faith in God was very strong, and he continued to believe and trust in God’s words throughout his life.
He was united in marriage to Untraka (Monique), and together that had four children: Mikayla, Bryce, Wendell, Jr., and Carter. He was preceded in death by his daughter Mikayla.
Wendell had many hobbies. They included fishing, coaching, and gardening, but his favorite was spending time with his family. Together, they created memories that will forever be cherished.

He is survived by his wife Monique, his sons Bryce, Wendell, Jr., and Carter; his parents Joe Mack and Frances; brothers Quenton (Janet), Malcolm (Sonjua), and Jerrad; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who held an endearing place in his heart.
