Warren Morris

Warren Morris was born on October 2, 1931 to the late Mr. John Morris, Sr. and Ms. Gracie Allen in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was later raised by grandparents the late Frank and Celestine Allen in Franklin, Louisiana. As a young man he moved to Houston, Texas where he would reside his lasting days. Warren married the late Merceta Jefferson on June 23, 1958. He was employed as a truck driver and meat processor during his prime. He joined and served at Canaan Baptist Church under Rev. L.V. Adams, Pastor. On April 1, 2023, our Lord and Savior called Warren home.

He was preceded in death by parents, grandparents, wife, (brother) John Morris Jr., (sister) Geneva Miles, (daughter) Helen Kay Jefferson, (Uncles) Roy Frank Pete, Nunny Allen, (Aunts) Celestine Allen, Euralie Bolden, Uradel McClain, Doretha Madison, (Son-in law) Leroy Banks Sr.

He leaves to cherish his memory: (Daughters) Ethel Banks, Gwendolyn Wilson (Johnny), Gracie Mae Morris, and Laverne Jenkins (Leonard), (Sons) Warren Morris Jr. (Elmarie), Elder Richard Morris (Lucille), Joan Morris (Carolyn), a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
