Mrs. Virginia Rose Harris-Hamilton

She graduated from Jack Yates High School in 1983.

Virginia worked as a Correctional Officer for several years and later became an Insurance Specialist with several companies over the years.

Virginia had a large family and many friends that loved her dearly. She will truly be missed by all. She loved to travel and took many cruises abroad. Her favorite foods were friend chicken, macaroni and Coke. She loved spending time with her family and friends at the beach and gatherings.

Virginia is survived by her wife, Sylvia Hamilton; her son Cory Harris (Amy); and her son Jeremy Harris; her sister Alma Harris Lockett (Willie) and her brother EJ Harris Jr.; her grandchildren Serenity Lee Harris, Harmony Rose Harris and Jaxon Ray Harris and her honorary grandchildren Givanni Davenport, Zayden Messer and Viviana Davenport.

She was preceded in death by her parents EJ and Lizzie Mae Harris.

A memorial service for Virginia will be held Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Carl Barnes Funeral Home, Inc, 746 W 22nd Street, Houston, TX 77008.
