She was the daughter of Jorge and Conchita Villavicencio, raised in San Salvador, El Salvador with two siblings - an older sister, Julia, and a younger brother, Jorge Eduardo. Vilma immigrated to the United States with her husband in 1965, eventually settling in Houston where she lived more than 45 years.
Vilma was a loving, dedicated mother, blessed with 4 children - two daughters, Patricia and Klaudia and two sons, Raul and Henry. She was also given the gift of six grandchildren - Hunter, Jordan, Morgan, Andres, Alejandro, and Beatriz.
Vilma devoted her years to AFESAL, Association of Female Salvadorans. She had an admirable commitment to raising funds for school supplies, medical equipment and college scholarships for impoverished children in El Salvador.
Vilma leaves behind a legacy of lifelong friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Vilma Villavicencio Paniagua.
