Matthew Uchenna Igbo, age 35, passed away on May 8, 2015 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Houston, Texas. He was born in Enugu, Nigeria to Chief (Dr.) Ikechukwu A. Igbo and Dr. Mrs. Immaculata Ngozi Igbo. UU, as he was fondly called, leaves behind a loving family and many friends. After graduating from Grace King High School, in Metairie, Louisiana in 1998, UU attended Houston Community College and graduated with an associate degree in Computer Aided Design. He also obtained an associate degree in Medical Billing and Coding from Remington College. A long-time resident of Houston, UU was well-loved throughout the city and the Nigerian community. UU left behind his parents, Chief (Dr.) and Dr. (Mrs.) Ikechukwu Igbo; his siblings Tochukwu, Nnenna and Ikechukwu; his in-laws Nikki, Olaolu and Celine; his nephew Ugo; and his goddaughter Levity. A wake keeping ceremony will be held at 8 p.m. on Friday, May 22, 2015 at Adonai Plaza located at 9207 Country Creek Drive, Houston, Texas 77036. A funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at St. Justin Martyr Catholic Church located at 13350 Ashford Point Drive, Houston, Texas 77082. Interment will follow at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery located at 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, Texas 77077.
