Tony was born on July 21st, 1962 to Elliot and Kai in Roswell, New Mexico. After Tony graduated from Madison High School, Madison, TX in 1980, he went on to play baseball for Texas A&M where he was drafted by the Houston Astros in the 14th round for the Major Baseball League as a third baseman. The Astros utilized his strength and added the role of Relief Pitcher during his tenure. He moved up the minor leagues and was called up to “The Show” for a game right before the MLB 1994/95 baseball strike. His career then took an adventurous turn to become a beloved player in Taiwan’s CPBL where he earned the title of Saves Champion multiple years. His role in baseball then changed from player to coach where he used his true love of the game to pass on his passion and experience to the next generation. From Baseball USA to co-creating the Friendswood Falcons and then the Texas Drillers teams with some very special parents that had become dear friends, traveled the U.S in competitions winning multiple Championships and Titles.
Tony was predeceased by his father Elliot.
He is survived by his son Gage, Daughter Raven, mother Kai, sisters Simone and Monique, grandchildren Alivia, Jax and Jamison.
A visitation for Tony will be held Friday, March 18, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A celebration of life will occur Saturday, March 19, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Lakewood Church, 3700 Southwest Fwy, Houston, TX 77027.
