Thomas Dean Evans

Thomas Dean Evans, age 62, passed away unexpectedly at his home on August 30, 2023. Thomas, known to his friends and family as Tommy, was born on November 30, 1960 in Houston, Texas to Thomas A. and Dotzie Evans. Tommy attended Bethany Lutheran as a child and went on to graduate from Waltrip High School in 1979.

After graduation, he began work in the oil refining industry where he gained the skills to become a successful Operator. His career culminated at Marathon Petroleum where he worked from 2006-2023. Tommy was a gifted athlete and enjoyed spending his free time traveling the country playing fastpitch softball. He was a jack of all trades who could and would play any position on the field. His loss will be felt deeply by those he worked with, his teammates, along with all his family and friends.

Tommy is survived by his father, Thomas A. Evans; his 3 adult children, Taylor and his wife Ninfa, Cory Thomas, & Kelli, her husband Michael, and their daughter Rosemary; and countless other family members who all loved him dearly.

A memorial service for Thomas will be held Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Pat H. Foley & Co., 1200 W 34th St., Houston, TX 77018.
