Suzanne Marie Bilodeau passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2024, to be with her heavenly father. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Thomas Joseph Bilodeau, Sr., and sons, Jean-Paul Bilodeau and Christopher Bilodeau. She is survived by her daughters, Michelle Gourley (husband Richard) and Nicole Yarsevich (husband Brian), and sons Tom, Eric (wife Linda), David, Justin, Matthew, and Julian (wife Melanie), along with 17 grandchildren Kaela, Noelle, Bryce, Ryan, Austin, Jason, Colin, Sydney, Jordan, Andrew, Blake, Brittany, Benjamin, Jett, Evelyn, Carter, Casey and six great grandchildren, Kaden, Gavin, Liam, Maddox, Ryder, and Emma. She is also survived by her sisters, Mimi and Gretchan and her brothers, Eddie, Bob, Peter, and David.
Suzanne was born on November 16, 1935 in New Ulm, Minnesota. She attended Holy Trinity School. She was a strong minded and strong-willed German. In her 50’s, and the mother of ten children, Suzanne, went to college at the University of Houston where she studied nursing. She loved having a big family and truly enjoyed the times when they all got together. She loved her kitchen and was a great cook and hostess and there was always a place and plenty of food at her table for whoever showed up. Suzanne also made lots of jewelry and rosaries too. She could knit, crochet, embroider and sew anything. She loved her trips home to spend time with family in Minnesota.
Suzanne and Tom moved to Houston in 1980 and become dedicated parishioners at St. Cyril of Alexandria Catholic Church. For many years Suzanne served as a Lector and a Eucharistic Minister and was loved by all the many friends she made in her church family.
Suzanne will be greatly missed by her family who love her so much, along with her extended family of friends and all those who were fortunate enough to have her in their lives. Her smile, her laughter, her sense of joy will live with us forever.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 18, 2024, at 10:00 A.M at St. Cyril of Alexandria Church, 10503 Westheimer Road, Houston, Texas. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 A.M.
