Susan Marie Hawkins Decker

Susan Marie Hawkins Decker was born December 16, 1956 in Huntsville Texas to Jesse James and Lilly Eva Hawkins. As a toddler, her parents moved to South Houston Texas where she grew into a young woman. Susan went to South Houston High School where she was a Janette. She played softball at the South Houston Girls Softball League. Susan was a Theta Rho Girl and was the President of the South Houston Chapter. She later became a Rebekah. Susan graduated from South Houston High School in 1975 and entered a long and rewarding career in Banking. Susan loved her family, friends and life. Susan never met a stranger and was kind and gentle to all. Susan went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in the early morning of Wednesday February 21, 2018 with her loving husband Tommy by her side.

Susan was preceded in passing by her mother Lilly Eva Cauthen Hawkins, brother Wyatt Henry Hawkins, father Jesse James Hawkins and niece April Michelle Hawkins. Susan is survived by her best friend and loving husband of 42 years, Thomas "Tommy" Decker, her big brother Michael Dewitt Hawkins and wife Sandra, little brother Larry James Hawkins and wife Judi, nephews Michael V. Hawkins, Joshua L. Hawkins, Larry J. Hawkins II, nieces Amanda P. Krueger, Jessica N, Hawkins, Ashley M. Hawkins and Cassy Hawkins Bassham. Susan is survived by several great nephews and great nieces.

Susan's Visitation will be on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at 5 pm - 8 pm at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale Avenue, Houston Texas and the Funeral Service will be on Monday, February 26, 2018 at 11 am at Forest Park Lawndale, in the Grand Chapel.
