Sue Ellen Day age 64 passed away unexpectedly on Monday December 29, 2014 with family by her side. Sue was born on August 5, 1950 in Houston Texas to Beverly and Robert Sullivan. Sue has been a lifelong resident of Houston. In 1968 Sue graduated from South Houston High school. While attending University of Houston Sue majored in Dramatic Arts. After she graduated college Sue served as an executive assistant to a Municipal Judge. For 20 years Sue was an active member of Cypress Creek Christian Church. She served as a Stevens minister and leader and was an active member of West Houston Church of Christ for the last 6 years.
Sue had a great love for travel and shared that passion with many of her friends and family as she traveled around the world. The lives of many were touched around the world by Sue’s love and friendship as Sue never met a stranger. As Sue traveled the world she encouraged those she met with her life story and was encourage by their own. When Sue returned from her travels she always had stories of the amazing people she met and lifelong friendships that were created. Another one of Sue’s greatest joys was hosting family gatherings and giving to others. She was always opening her home to friends and family.
Sue was proceeded in death by her Father Robert L Sullivan and Brother Robert F Sullivan. Sue is survived by her husband of 30 years, William Day, and step children, Michael Day, Michel Day and Sherri-Lynne Day and grandchildren; Sister Deborah Wedding and husband Joseph, Sister Cecile LeBlanc and husband Kevin. She was a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday January 3rd, 2015 at 11:00am in the West Houston Church of Christ Chapel. In lieu of flowers a memorial donation may be made to Ronald McDonald House.
