Steve was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was a proud American who loved his country. He later became a water treatment specialist where he excelled in his career for over 25 years. He worked hard and played harder. He loved life and his smile would light up a room. He was an avid sports fan and you could always find him rooting for his Houston teams, especially the Astros and Texans. He also enjoyed Nascar and his favorite driver was always Dale Earnhardt. He loved rock n' roll, country music, and singing karaoke. His favorite karaoke song was "Shooting Star" by Bad Company.
He was a Parrothead, a Redhead, and a biker who loved riding his Harley Davidson in the Texas Hill Country. He was an amazing friend with a big heart and would never hesitate to lend a helping hand to anyone who asked for help. But most of all, he was a loving dad to his daughter Ashlee, step-daughter Amber, and fur-baby Lulu.
Steve is preceded in death by his beloved mother Carol and grandmother Evelyn "Nonie".
He is survived by his loving daughter Ashlee (Dustin) DeBord, step-daughter Amber (Blaine) Adkins, best friend Norma Shipp, brother Dale (Lisa) Richardson, niece Illissa Albina, and father Don (Mary) Richardson.
A visitation for Steve will be held Thursday, January 18, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home & Cemetery, 13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, Texas 77079, with a celebration of life planned at a later date.
