Stanley Wallace was born on a small island in the Caribbean called St. Vincent on July 17, 1922. During WW2, he was a Yeoman on a troop transport ship in the Caribbean. After the war he moved to New York and earned his U.S. citizenship in 1947.
He had various jobs while earning his engineering degree and passing his licensing tests on the first try. Over the years he has had various architectural engineering positions until he accepted a contract with the U.S. oil company in Saudi Arabia. After 8 years he came back to the states and lived in California. In the 1980's he moved to Orlando, Florida and lived there until he moved to Texas in 2018.
Stan has traveled all around Europe and the middle east. His most recent overseas trip was to his ancestral home Scotland. He has also made many trips to the Caribbean islands and Hawaii.
His growing collection of hobbies ranges from building household furniture, growing hot peppers and cooking Caribbean food. Stan had an infinity for solving the newspaper puzzles, always thinking of the next word.
Stan was very proud of his 5 children, 3 Sons (1 deceased), 2 daughters, 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. His wife, Doreen predeceased him in 2021 after an extended illness. He moved from his daughter's home to Bristol Park in May of the year. Where he passed on Saturday Oct 12,2024 at the accomplished age of 102 years old.
