Sophia Mae King

At the age of 73, Sophia became the final member of her family of 13 siblings to be called home to Heaven. Sophia was a devoted and hardworking mother and grandmother who poured her heart into her family. Fierce and determined, her strength and resilience were unmatched, and her love knew no bounds. Her stubborn spirit often served as a testament to her unwavering commitment to those she held dear.

She is preceded in death by her beloved son, Wendell Gennel Westberry II.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Larry Dean Rinehart; her loving son, David Michael King; her cherished grandchildren: Wendell Gennel Westberry III, Cristina Samora Westberry, and Michael Seth King; and great grandchildren: Elaine Mae Westberry and Adaline Grace Westberry.

Her family carries forward her legacy of love and strength. Sophia’s presence will be deeply missed, but the memories of her fierce love and dedication will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She has joined her family in eternal rest, leaving a legacy of warmth, resilience, and devotion.

A visitation for Sophia will be held Friday, November 22, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A funeral service will occur Friday, November 22, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A graveside service will occur Friday, November 22, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039.
