Hey there grandfather, it has been a year already and so much has happened here that I know you would be proud to be a part of. But just so you know, things are going well for us but I am sure you already know this seeings that you and god are the ones responsible for the good things happening. There isnt a day that goes by that you are not thought of and we all miss and love you very much. If you could please do me a favor and let mother know, some how, that everything is going to be okay that would be great cause she misses you very much and this is still very hard on her!! Hi granpa, it's Victoria. I han't talked to you in a while, so I just wanted to say hi. Well I just had a state tornament. We took 7th place out if 31 teams so we didn't do to bad. I pitched most of the games and I got a few strikeouts for you. I know you would be so proud of me. I just wish you could have seen me play one game before u left us, but now I know your watching all of my games and now you have the best seat in the park. Hey grandpa its me again. I hope I'm not buggin you. So how was your day? Mine was good. I worked late today. I went by the house and checked on grandma and ate some pizza. I'm not sure who but someone bought a lot of pizza. I was at the house tryin to hangout and talk to grandma and of course she was on the phone. Lol. Oh well that's jus grandma. I took the trash down for tomorrow. Me and grandma also walked around and looked at the flowers in the yard. She said that you would go check on the flowers eeeeeeeevery day! We kinda had a sad moment together. Jesse and irma made grandma a little photo album of the funeral. The pics came out nice. You looked really good in them. It jus looked like you were sound asleep at the house....peacefully. Well grandpa I'm gonna take a shower and get ready for bed. Ill talk to you tomorrow. I love you grandpa!!! Good morning grandpa! I'm here at work jus thinkin about you. I went through your nightstand a few days ago and started thinkin about all the times I would ask for something like batteries or a knife or an elbow wrap you would always says go look in the drawer by the bed. Man everything is still in there. I'm gonna try and keep it full with batteries still cause that's where we know we can find them. I was talkin to my co worker about the funeral and he said that was one of the best he has been to. He said he has never seen the WHOLE freeway shut down like that. I said yea cause the king was comin through! Well I love you grandpa and ill talk to you later.

I introduced myself to him and said " I too am a Garza by marriage and I am from Laredo."  He said to me. "Hay dos clases de Garzas."  "Los buenos y los mejores."  "Cual es usted?"  and I told "Pos do los mejores como usted."  He will be missed.  Rest in peace Mr. Garza.

I remember when you used to draw the watches with the pen on my wrist, now you can do it for all the little kids in heaven and they can know what a good grandpa you were. i just want you to know that i plan to go to college for you and i'm going to get a scholarship in softball, I'm going to make you very proud of me. Hi Grandpa this is Jesse, I would like to thank you for all the good memories you left us. Tori's fondest memory is of you drawing the watch on her wrist.  Thank you for being a good example for us younger men and showing us what a true man is like. 

You don't have to worry about Grandma, we will all look after her.  And I will also look after the two baby cousins, (Adrian and Ralphy).

 I'm gonna miss you very much. I know i've been a handful and im sorry for that. There is no one in this world that can ever replace you! Im glad i had the privilege to have you in my life for 30 years. Things just aren't gonna be the same at the house with you not there physically but i know you're there spiritually. Im gonna miss all the jokes and goofiness we would do together like when ever i would make you put a wig on to make all of us laugh. Im never gonna forget all the good times we had together grandpa. Dont worry ill make sure to change the filter at the house every 30 days like you made me do and the filter in the van. I also got you some little screw drivers that you like from work. Simon was a great man with a huge heart for his community. He was good friends with my parents. I remember always seeing him with his wife at all the dances. He will be missed for sure. Que Dios te bendiga!
