At an early age, she accepted Christ and a member of Greater Mt. Zion AME Church.
She was a graduate of Jack Yates High School and attended Prairie View A & M University for nursing.
She retired after 30 plus years at The Methodist Hospital as a cook.
She was preceded in death by her brother Osborne (Bubba), Erma Lee Agnes Walker (daughter), and a multitude of relatives whom she loved.
She is survived by her Aunt Marjorie Johnson (Ray Johnson), two sisters Norma Pickett and Harriet Beckwith (Jimmie Beckwith), two children: Audra and Samuel III (Michelle Stewart) and six grandchildren: (Erma: Jeremy Stewart, Dominique Stewart, Robert Walker, Jr., and Isaiah Walker) (Samuel III: Samantha Marshall and Samuel J. Stewart) and great-grandchildren Mila Goff, Robert (Trey) Walker III, and Logan Roshawn Douglas. She also leaves behind a host of relatives, past coworkers, and friends
