Sherrye Minton Coleman

Sherrye Ann (Minton) Coleman of Pearland, Texas passed away on February 4th, 2023, at the age of 76 surrounded by loved ones. She was born on December 14th, 1946, in Houston Texas and grew up in Pasadena.

Sherrye graduated from Pasadena High School in 1965, and worked as a bookkeeper for many years, until her retirement in 2005. Sherrye enjoyed time with her friends from Sagemont Baptist Church (especially her Cut Ups group) as well as time with her friends from Curves exercise classes, shopping with friends and family and visiting with anyone who wanted to stop by.

She is preceded in death by her parents, father C.A. Minton and mother Patricia Minton, younger brother Charles Minton; and her devoted and loving husband Larry D. Coleman.

Sherrye is survived by her children Alan Coleman, Dee Ann Jarman, Dennis Coleman, and Darren Coleman; grandchildren Laura Andrade, David Jarman, Jason Jarman, Katie Coleman, Carter Coleman, Zackary Coleman, Joshua Coleman and Celeste Coleman; and great grandchildren Aric Andrade, Ava Andrade and Jessie Jarman. She also leaves behind her loving sister-in-law Dolores Moss and husband Paul, brother-in-law Jerry Coleman and wife Beth as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

The family would like to thank Sheila’s Angels, especially Kenisha and Lilly, for the care and compassion they showed Sherrye over the past few years.

Family and friends are invited to attend visitation on Saturday February 11th at Forest Park Lawndale’s Colonial Chapel from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., 6900 Lawndale Avenue, Houston Texas 77023.

Services for Sherrye will be held on Sunday February 12th at Forest Park’s Chapel of Angels at 10:00 a.m., with committal service occurring immediately afterward.
