Shauna Linn (Pearce) Johnston

Shauna was born December 13, 1953, in Houston, Texas to William and Loretta Pearce, she graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1972 spending her life living in the Katy and Cypress areas of Houston. She had a long career with Manheim Houston Auto Auction in Houston.

Shauna was a loving wife of 50 years to “Buddy” as well as a devoted mother and grandmother.

Shauna was preceded in death by her parents; father William “Bill” Pearce, mother Loretta Smothers Pearce, stepmother Miariam “Mimi” Harbour Pearce; and sister Sarah Harbour Girards.

She leaves behind her loving husband Jesse” Buddy” Johnston; son Shane Johnston and wife Elizabeth; daughter Kara McKinney; brother Kirk Pearce and wife Judy, brother Mark Harbour and wife Paula; grandsons Pearce and Lucas Johnston, granddaughter Taylor McKinney; as well as many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Shauna was deeply loved and admired by her family and many friends. She was quick with a laugh and a smile. She dearly loved spending time with her family, especially holidays. Shauna enjoyed traveling to her grandchildren’s many events to offer support and celebrate their achievements with great pride and admiration.

The family would like to give special thanks to Altus Hospice staff for their care and compassion for Shauna.

A Memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Monday December 18, 2023 in the Texas Liberty Mausoleum Chapel at Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston TX 77079 followed by an interment service.

In Lieu of Flowers donations may be made, in her memory, to the American Cancer Society or CyFair Helping Hands.
