Sharon Patricia (Dunn) Harris, age 76, of Fulshear, Texas passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband, Von Harris, and her parents James (Jim) and Doris Dunn. She is survived by her three children, Matt Harris, Lance Harris and Mitzi Piersol (husband Drew), as well as four sisters, Beverly Reese, Rebecca Schwem, Diane Eichenberg and Kimberly Staton. She also leaves a beautiful legacy of six grandchildren, two bonus grandchildren, three great-grandsons and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Sharon was born on January 13, 1947 in Houston, Texas. She was a beautiful woman, a loving and devoted mother who fiercely protected and provided for her children. She made many personal sacrifices for them, running to and from practices, sporting events, weekends at the race track, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, whatever they were involved in, she was present. She was also like a second mom to many children she babysat through the years as she was raising her own. She always planned fun things to do after school or during the summer break and it meant so much to her for the children to feel special and loved. She had a gift for being artistic and creative. As a young teenager, she spent time after school working at her mother's flower shop or designing marketing materials for the retail store window next door. In her adult years she was known for making handmade everything, from Easter baskets, birthday cards, hair bows with matching socks, calligraphy and silk floral arrangements. She put a lot of thought and attention to detail in everything she did.
Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy. Even though she worked full-time, she still took time away from work to attend school functions and programs or surprise them at school lunch. She was always excited any time a new movie was released so she could take the grandkids to see it, as well as numerous trips to arcade pizza play days.
She lived a life of service, even beyond the years of raising her children. She worked as a customer service representative at Entex gas company where she retired after 25 years of service. She worked hard, and loved big. She was a loyal and devoted friend to many. She was grounded by her everlasting faith in God and eternity. She will be missed dearly, but her spirit will continue to live on in our hearts until we meet again. Sleep with angels.
