Sarah Ann Robinson

Sarah Ann Robinson, born in Houston, Texas on 14 August 1951, began her eternal life on 1 July 2024. She was a proud member of the Class of 1970 at Memorial High School in Houston and a longtime resident of Clear Lake City. Sarah was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed.

Sarah was predeceased by her father, James Howard Robinson in 1975 and her mother, Mary Inez Dunnahoe in 1998.

Sarah is survived by her four children: Astrid Idlewild of Toronto, Ontario, Canada; Ryan (Elizabeth) Goins of Los Angeles, California; Emily Goins of Friendswood, Texas; and David (Amy) Goins of Dallas, Texas. She raised them with her former husband, Joseph Goins. Other survivors include her older sister, Martha (Fritz) Naumann; younger brother, John (Terri) Robinson; her loving and special step-dad, Mr. William D. Dunnahoe; niece, Amy (Scott) Miller; nephew, Marcus (Tami) Attaway; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.

Sarah's greatest joy was her six grandchildren, Andrew Crate, Ethan Crate, Sophia Crate, Walter Goins, Willow Goins, and Scarlett Goins, whom she loved with all her heart.

Sarah was passionate about gardening, and her green thumb nurtured dozens of thriving indoor and outdoor plants, trees, shrubs, and flower gardens around her home. She also loved music and singing, particularly enjoying artists from the Sixties and Seventies like The Beatles, Eagles, and Jackson Browne, a joy she shared with her family and friends. Sarah also enjoyed cooking and baking with and for her family, and spending time with a good book. To those who knew her, Sarah was warm and affable, often becoming the life of any room. Always outspoken yet ready to listen, she was compassionate and tenderhearted with loved ones and strangers alike.

Ryan, Emily, and David would like to express their gratitude to the devoted caregivers at Tuscany Village Skilled Nursing for the steadfast care they provided to their mom over the past five years. They would also like to thank the friends and family who lifted her spirits with cards, phone calls, visits, and laughter when she needed them most.

Sarah’s children will host a brief committal ceremony at Memorial Oaks Cemetery in West Houston on Thursday August 1 at 10 AM, with an offsite luncheon to follow where friends and family can gather together to celebrate her life and share their memories of Sarah.
