Sammy was born on the 25th of March 1928. He joined the Navy in 1946 and was honorably discharged in 1948. He met the love of his life, Josephine Marie Bellassai, shortly after coming back to Houston and they were married on the 16th of October 1949.
Sammy worked at JN Taub and Sons for over 30 years and for Quality Beverage Company for 10 years. Sam always kept busy with projects around the house, at his children’s homes, and at his beloved “Country” property in Brazoria County.
Sammy will be missed tremendously. During his final days he was at the side of his wife Joie, surrounded by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, telling everyone how much he loved them and would miss them. Sammy/Dad/PawPaw, we miss you too, until we meet again.
Sammy is survived by his wife of 68 years, four children: Anthony, John (wife Kolynn), Jane (husband Jeffrey) and Sam Jr. (wife Donna), 10 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren, and many other cousins, nieces, nephews and beloved longtime friends.
