Sam Edward Ricotta, born on October 15, 1933, peacefully passed away on April 1st, 2024, at the age of 90, surrounded by loved ones at his home in Buckholts, Texas. Originally from Houston Texas, Sam was preceded in death by his cherished wife of 59 years, Doris Ricotta, as well as his parents Pete and Mildred Ricotta along with numerous brother and sister in-laws.
Left to cherish his memory is one brother in-law, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews. Sam's heart was enriched by the love and companionship of his beloved family, including Eric and Katy, Jason and Trevan, Kayla and Keiffer, Linda and Edward, Billy and Vickie, and Bonnie and family friends Cruz and Martha and their son Christian.
Sam's career spanned decades, leaving an indelible mark as a florist. For 30 years, he poured his passion into North Shepherd Florist, later transitioning to the Blossom Shop in Conroe Texas, where he dedicated another 15 years of his life. Despite the challenges he faced, including numerous floods at his Houston residence, Sam's resilience shone through. Ultimately, he made the decision to relocate to Buckholts, Texas, where he found solace and tranquility on the family farm alongside his great-nephew Jason Norman.
In celebrating Sam's life, we remember his unwavering dedication to his craft, his enduring love for his family, and his ability to find beauty even in the face of adversity. Sam's legacy will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
