On May 1, 1931 Roy Eugene Bailey was the second born of Ina Bailey and Clarence Bailey.
After graduating from East High School in Wichita, Kansas, Roy enrolled in Wichita State University to advance his studies.
After the Korean War broke out, Roy enlisted in the United States Air Force. He deployed to South Korea, where he repaired aircraft and ran supplies across the 55th parallel.
In 1961, Roy joined the IRS where he retired after 33 years of dedicated service. Prior to his retirement, Roy obtained his real estate license so that in retirement he could, "keep his mind occupied".
Roy is preceded in death by his parents, Ina Robinson and Clarence Bailey, brothers Voris and Don Bailey.
He will forever be remembered by his loving and devoted wife, Earnestine Bailey, sister Barbara Jean Williams, daughters Leticia Bailey and Twanna Menard (Matthew), and granddaughter Natalia Simone Bailey, and a host of family, friends, and loved ones.
Roy Bailey will always be remembered as a quiet man, of great character and resolve, whose impact on those he loved and the world around him will remain immeasurable.
