ROSEMARY GREEK ROBINSON, 84, passed away on April 3, 2018 at her home in Houston. She was born in McKinney, TX, in 1933 to Albin & Rosa Greek. She leaves behind her husband of 60 years Jim Robinson, her son Cole Robinson and his wife Diane, and her two grandchildren Dustin & Cassie Robinson.
Other family survivors include her sister Sandra Hild & husband Don, her nieces Becky & Cindy Perry, all of McKinney, and her niece Amy Hileman & husband Aaron of OK. Her sister Greta Perry passed away in 2003. She also leaves behind her two good friends Susan Terrell and Linda Mauldin.
Rosemary graduated from McKinney High in 1952 and attended Lamar University in Beaumont. She was a longtime member of the North Baptist Church in McKinney. She and her husband lived in Houston, Austin, Beaumont, St Louis, Greenville SC, Mt Laurel NJ, & San Juan PR. Her permanent home was in Champions in Northwest Houston for 45 years. She was employed by the IRS in Dallas, Houston & Austin for over 10 years.
She traveled extensively in Europe, South America, and the USA. Among her rare experiences were going through Checkpoint Charlie from West to East Berlin, and visiting the Christ the Redeemer statute on Corcovado in Rio on a rare occasion when the little chapel at its feet was open. Hers was a life well lived.
A viewing will take place from 6-8pm on Thursday, April 5th at Brookside Funeral Home on FM 1960. The funeral will be held April 6th at 10am, with a grave-side ceremony at 1pm at Forest Park Lawndale.
