Ronald Thomas Templeton

He is preceded in death by his parents, Marguerite Templeton and Aubry Templeton.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Templeton, his sister, Caroline “Sissy” Rimmer, his son, Richard Templeton, and his three grandsons, Grant Templeton, Chase Templeton, and Blake Templeton.

Ronnie grew up in Houston, Texas and graduated from Jefferson Davis High School in 1959. He attended the University of Houston, where he studied Engineering. Ronnie also proudly served our country in the Air Force Reserves.

After graduating with a degree in Civil Engineering, Ronnie worked for the Texas Department of Transportation (Highway Department) for 30+ years where he was responsible for designing and managing the design of many of Houston’s roadways and bridges. At the Highway Department, he met his loving wife, Barbara (Simonton) Templeton. Ronnie and Barbara were married for 54 years and had one son, Richard. Ronnie loved hunting, watching his son (and grandsons) play baseball, and caring for his beloved dogs and cats.

Visitation for Ronnie will be held on November 14, 2024 at Forest Park Lawndale from 5PM-8PM. Funeral mass will be held at Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church at 11AM on Friday, November 15th with a Committal Service to follow at Forest Park Lawndale at 1PM.
