Ron was born in Jasper, Indiana on November 05, 1946, to Clarence and Mary Alice (Erny) Schuetter. Ron married Carol Jean Mundy on December 2, 1967 in Ireland, Indiana.
Ron is survived by his wife Carol, two sons, Keith (Janet) Schuetter of Westfield, IN, Curt Schuetter of Phoenix, AZ; daughter, Annick (Len) Vogel of Tomball, TX; five grandchildren, Randy Schuetter, Kelly (Elliot) Barker, Marissa Gaines, Madelyn Vogel and Mackenzie Vogel; sisters, Camilla (John) Allen and Phyllis Stenftenagel of Jasper, IN; brothers, Larry (Veronica) Schuetter of Sui Sun, CA, Ken (Mary Jane) Schuetter and Steve (Pat) Schuetter of Jasper, IN.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jerry Schuetter.
Ron was part of Jasper High School’s class of 1964. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and served as an electrician aboard the USS Joseph P. Kennedy Jr. Destroyer. His experience in the Navy led him to work in the electrical field and over his working years, he moved and traveled for greater opportunities and advancements. He went from being an electrician, to working in Human Resources in the industry and traveling all over the world to eventually becoming part owner of Gaylor Electric before ultimately retiring in 2012.
Ron was a lifetime member of the VFW and volunteered with the American Legion in Arizona.
Ron will always be remembered for his bright smile, caring heart, positive outlook, and the kindness and support he provided his family and friends over his lifetime. He will be greatly missed by all.
Funeral services for Ron will be held on March 11, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038 with military funeral honors and committal service at 11:15 a.m. at the Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, Texas 77038.
In lieu of flowers, the Schuetter family respectfully requests contributions in Ronald’s memory be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, as he contributed to the organization during his lifetime and always felt close to the children his donations supported over the years.
