A native Houstonian.
Ronald Henry Clay was born on July 5, 1951 at Polly Ryon Memorial Hospital in Richmond, Texas to Herman A., Sr. and Beatrice R. Clay.
He attended James Madison High School where he graduated and later joined the United States Army where he studied criminology, and sharp shooting. He served four years and was stationed in Okinawa, Japan. After his return from military tour, Ronald began working at the United States Post Office where he enjoyed going to work and most importantly spending time with family and friends. He loved seeing everyone getting along and cooking his specialty, which was Barbecue. He also loved traveling, collecting antique guns, and going to the shooting range.
He passed away peacefully on June 15, 2021 at the Methodist Hospital in Dallas, Texas at the age of 69.
He leaves to cherish his memories three loving sisters, Marilyn, Yvonne and Janice Clay; niece, Regina; great nieces, Kally and Jasmine; nephews, Ronald and Carey. The devoted families of The Clay, Davison, Foster, Kemp, and Randle’s, and a host of life long friends.
