Ron Mitchell

Ronald "Ron" Mitchell, 50, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2014. Ron was born on September 30, 1963 in Temple, Texas. He was actively employed with the Harris County Sheriffs Department for 24 years. Ron also loved volunteering for bar-b-que teams and military functions.His passion was helping the Champions Kids Camp. Ron was an avid writer who wrote a column called Both Eyes Open for a magazine for 5 years and Ron also donated to Life Gift to help other people. Ron is survived by his wife; Kim, son; Tommy Drake, daughter; Danielle Jarvis and husband Darrell, brother; Ron Mitchell, sister; Lynn Midkiff, grandchildren; Brianne, Shianne, Levi and Leo Mitchell. Also by godson; Guy Mitchell and wife Nancy. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 2, 2014 from 4pm to 8pm at Brookside Champions, 3410 FM 1960 West, Houston, Texas 77068 (281) 397-0800. Services will be at 10:00am Monday, March 3, 2014 at Fellowship of the Woodlands, 1 Fellowship Drive, The Woodlands, Texas. Interment will follow at Forest Park Woodlands Cemetery.
