On August 12, 2020, Roger Thomas Asch went to be with his Lord. In 1971 Roger became a Christian, changing his life forever. His life became focused on his Lord and his family. He was an involved member of his churches, from teaching Sunday school, to serving as a bus driver, and a counselor.
Roger served in the United States Marine Corps. He became a sharpshooter and attained the rank of corporal. Upon discharge, he married and returned to West Virginia Tech to earn his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Along the way he became a family man and private business owner for more than 20 years. Due to the oil bust he closed his business and entered graduate school, starting a new career. He earned a Master’s degree in clinical psychology, working for several years as a therapist. He then became the director of EAP for United Behavioral Healthcare. Roger retired in 2012.
Roger was an Avid skier, private pilot, an amateur photographer, and a professional foodie. He was also an enthusiastic season ticket holder for the University of Houston Cougars. He enjoyed attending many games with his children and grandchildren.
