Bobby was born in Pontiac, Michigan on February 22, 1944 to Mr. George and Mrs. Gwendolyn Weber. At the age of 12, he moved to Irving, TX.
After high school, Bobby joined the US Navy in 1965 during the Vietnam War. He achieved the rank of SFM3, Petty Officer, Navy Diver and Shipfitter. He had an admirable career in the Navy, being awarded the National Defense Service Medal before being honorably discharged in 1971. Bobby went on to work as a welder and sheet metal worker for Pritchett Engineering, Vetco-Gray and ultimately retiring with Dril-Quip after 15 years as their Supervisor.
He was an avid outdoorsman, loving all things hunting and fishing. Bobby also loved coaching softball and baseball for his children and grandson. He also was a dedicated sports fan, watching his beloved Houston Astros and Texans teams. He was also a former active member of the Denver Harbor Lions Club, working tirelessly in charity work for many years.
Bobby is preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Lois Van Crawford Weber; his children, Ricky Lewis and Sheila Lewis; his parents, George Weber and Gwen Weber; his brother, Timmy Weber; as well as his furbaby, Boo Kitty.
Bobby is survived by his son, Robert B. Weber, Jr. (Elizabeth) of Houston, TX; his grandsons, Trey Lewis (Lesly) of Brookshire, TX, and Brady Rousseau of Martinez, CA; his sister, RuthAnne Herman (Ken) of Terrell, TX; his brother, Danny Weber (Lorraine) of Grand Prairie, TX; as well as his nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
A Memorial Visitation for Bobby will be held Thursday, August 1, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home - Champions, 3410 Cypress Creek Parkway, Houston, Texas 77068. A Celebration of Life will occur Friday, August 2, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 3410 Cypress Creek Parkway, Houston, Texas 77068, with a procession to Houston National Cemetery. A Committal Service will occur Friday, August 2, 2024 from 1:45 PM to 2:15 PM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038.
