He was a World War II United States Navy veteran, and was a member of Cypress Creek Baptist Church. Mr. McNutt was a lifelong Baptist and served as an active Deacon for fifty years. He had a great appreciation for gospel music and the gift of song.
Mr. McNutt is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Pearl McNutt; children, Patsy Armstrong, Robert B. McNutt, III and wife Cindy, Frankie Lee McNutt and wife Dale; grandchildren, Stacy Contreas, Melissa McDaniels, Justin, Rochelle and Brian McNutt, Nick and Chris Hernandez, Shannon and Shane Armstrong; ten great-grandchildren; sister, Molly Davis and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at a visitation from 4:00pm until 8:00pm on Friday, June 10th at Waltrip Funeral Directors, 1415 Campbell Road in Houston, where funeral services will be held in the chapel on Saturday, June 11, 2011. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Garden of Memories.
