Robert (Bob) Harris, age 90, passed away on November 7,2021, from complications of Parkinson’s disease. He was born on August 5,1931 in Wallington, New Jersey. He attended Clifton High School where he enjoyed playing baseball and basketball. Bob and Elaine met when they were 16 and became High School Sweethearts. At the age of 21 Bob joined the U.S. Army and served for 2 years. After his service he attended Rutgers University. Bob and Elaine always kept in touch and later were married in 1956 at the age of 24. God blessed them with three beautiful children, two sons and a daughter. He was a devoted loving father and was very proud of his family. He enjoyed coaching Little League baseball and basketball along with the Cub Scouts. He was passionate about collecting stamps and coins. Bob and Elaine shared a love for cooking in the gourmet club and socializing. They spent countless hours planning and hosting dinner parties for friends and family. They were married for 65 years and were inseparable and he loved her unconditionally! Bob and Elaine enjoyed traveling to many countries in Europe. They both served as Eucharist Ministers for St. Cecilia Catholic Church.
Bob was a sales Rep. for Guerlain Paris perfume. He was a natural born salesman and was recognized numerous times for his outstanding achievements while working for Guerlain.
Later in his life he enjoyed spending time at the Harris Family beach house, enjoying good food, drinking champagne, and watching his grandchildren grow up. He loved attending events at The Buckingham and had fun getting dressed up in costumes. Bob also enjoyed playing pool with his friends in the Buckingham Billiards Club. He was an avid Astros fan and never missed a game.
Bob was preceded in death by his daughter Teresa (Sissy) Harris. He is survived by his beloved wife Elaine, his sons Gregory and Richard, his grandchildren Miranda (Embrick), Tyler, and Rebecca (Means), and his great -grandchildren Aiden and Tristan (Embrick), Keaton and Brynlee (Means).
He will be remembered as a handsome, humorous, kind, and gentle man. He was known for his quiet strength and humble spirit. He had a warm smile, and his laughter was contagious. Bob will be greatly missed and fondly remembered. His beautiful soul is with his loving God, and he is at peace.
