Robert Rene Garza

Robert Rene Garza passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital in Houston, Texas. Robert was born on November 24, 1967 in Arlington Heights, Illinois to his beloved mother Adelina, and father Enrique Garza. Robert was in the Army Reserves. Robert was also a volunteer fire fighter for many years. Robert attended the Galveston Police Academy where he graduated and became a Galveston City Police Officer . Robert was married to Jacqueline M. Bower. They had two beautiful children together. Robert loved being a father, more than anything, his children were his passion. While being a happy husband, and a devoted father, Robert attended Houston Community College for 2 years and pursued a career in Computer Technology. Robert soon then opened his business, “Infobest,” where he repaired computers, and learned about his deep passion for teaching. Robert also worked for Ingles Practico as an English professor teaching English. Teaching was his true passion which brought out a sense of serenity and created such a bright happiness.

He is survived by his mother Adelina Martinez and Emilio Martinez; sister, Laura Guidry and her husband Pierre; son, Randall R. Garza; daughter, Nicolle M. Garza; ex-wife, Jacqueline M. Garza; and devoted friend, David Jenkins.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Advantage Funeral Home Chapel, 7010 Chetwood Dr. Houston, Texas 77081. A Mass will be held on Monday, October 5, 2015 at 10:00 am at Holy Ghost Catholic Church 6921 Chetwood Dr. Houston, Texas 77081.
