Bob was born on October 11, 1950 in Houston, Texas to his parents William Robert Vaden and Peggy Joyce Vaden. He lived in Spring Branch and attended elementary, junior, and high school there. He often shared stories of the times he played hide and seek with his baby sisters on the 1.8 acres of land they lived on. He kept contact with his high school friends and even recently went to lunch with them. Bob attended several universities in his earlier years. He even joked about making a blanket with the many t-shirts he gathered from the universities he attended throughout his lifetime.
Bob was employed prior to retirement on April 30, 2021 with JTyler Services as the Healthcare Account Manager. His retirement party was an absolute joy for him. He gained a new guitar signed by all his coworkers. Prior to his time with JTyler he made strides at BT Miller as an Account Manager. He gained many long-term friends through his years of hard work.
Bob was also proud to serve his country in the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman and was top of his class.
Bob’s biggest passion was music. He has been a member of many bands since he was 15 years old. He enjoyed being an Elvis Impersonator and singing Beach Boys music, among other artists. He attended over 40 Beach Boys concerts during his 32 years of marriage to Kathy, alone. He played in the praise team band at Trinity Lutheran-Klein for Sunday church services. Bob was kind, compassionate, giving, loving, funny, smart, witty and never left a room without making others laugh. He never met a stranger.
Bob met his spouse Kathy in Houston at the radio station where they developed a commercial together about a married couple, to air in 1991. Bob had one child prior to their marriage, Robert Vaden “Bobby” who married Kelley Vaden. Bobby granted Bob with two grandson’s Joseph Vaden and William Vaden. Later his daughter Trisha Vaden was greeted into his family.
Bob was preceded in death by his ever-loving Father, William Robert Vaden and mother, Peggy Joyce Vaden, stepmother Gertrude Vaden and brother-in-law Francis Russell McAuliffe. He is survived by his wife of 32 years Kathleen Kaitschuck-Vaden, son Robert Vaden and his spouse Kelley Vaden, their children, Joseph Vaden and William Vaden; his daughter, Trisha Vaden; his sister Linda Vaden-Goad, her spouse Robert Vaden-Goad and their children, Aaron Vaden-Youmans his spouse, Monica Franklin and their son Ori Vaden-Franklin; and step-son Jonathan Gratch his spouse Bo Kwon and their daughter Hanna Gratch;” ; her step daughter Lori Dunaway, her spouse David Dunaway and their children Jefferson Dunaway and Ellie Dunaway; her daughter Nancy Vaden-Youmans; his sister Nancy Vaden-Kiernan, her spouse Michael Vaden-Kiernan, and their children, Austin Vaden-Kiernan and David Vaden-Kiernan. His extended family included Jeffrey Kaitschuck, Deborah Kaitschuck and their children, Brandon Kaitschuck, his spouse Savannah Kaitschuck and their daughter, Kollyns Kaitschuck; their daughter Kalie Kaitschuck, his sons Isaiah Kaitschuck and Matthew Kaitschuck. Also included is LuAnn McAuliffe and her children Daniel McAuliffe, his wife Jennifer McAuliffe; and Meghan McAuliffe and her spouse Seth Wilson; Michael Kaitschuck his spouse Robin Kaitschuck and their son Nicholas Kaitschuck. Bob also loved his many cousins. He mostly enjoyed being the only boy amongst all the girls.
He will be truly missed, and his Legacy will live on. Elvis has left the building.
Visitation with the family will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Waltrip Funeral Directors, 1415 Campbell Road, Houston, Texas 77055. A Celebration of Life Service will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday in the RL Venue at Waltrip Funeral Directors. The Committal will follow in Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, Texas 77077.
