Rick Leedy, 64, of Houston, TX passed away in the afternoon of April 28, 2014 at M.D. Anderson Hospital after a year-long fight against cancer. Rick was born on March 12, 1950 in Houston, TX to Alvin & Eileen Leedy. He married Brenda Owens-Young on October 11, 1997, and they have one daughter, Joi. Rick attended Waltrip High School, Class of 68’, and then went to Lamar University on a baseball scholarship where he graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree. He was an employee of Houston Independent School District for 30+ years ( Kashmere Gardens Elementary and Durham Elementary) and retired in 2010. Rick is survived by his wife, Brenda, their daughter Joi, and mother Eileen.
