Coach Razo coached me and jr for the Colts loved him and his family.. Just found out he passed.. Went to shcool with Ricky and worked with Jesse at the Sheriffs Office.. Best people in the world.. Your Father taught me how to be a man Back when it was still allowed. RIP

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal,  love leaves a memory no one can steal. You touched so many lives with your kindness, my family and I will always remember the kindness you showed us when we needed it the most. Thank you for your selfish acts towards Guadalupe Ordaz's family. We will forever be grateful for you, always willing to help my mother, my father and their children when  in need. Thank you for all the fun times, I can still see all the family dancing  to tejano music,  at the many family gatherings holding Tia spinning her around with your contagious smile. I will need lots of paper to write the many memories. Thank You Heavenly Father for sharing Tio Riche with us. Until we meet again, know that my entire family loved you dearly and you will be missed.

On behalf of Ricky and Belen Diaz, the Diaz family wants to express our love and friendship for Richard Razo and our condolence for his wife, children, and grandchildren.  Richard Razo shared years of work entertaining the Houston community with the Ricky Diaz Orchestra and Bands.  Richard Razo was a gifted drummer and lead singer. He brought joy and great memories to so many people's lives with his beautiful songs and drumming that he performed for so many special events.  We will miss him and remember the time and personal memories we spent with Richard.  He was a large part of our lives.  God Bless the Razo family from the Diaz family.

Primo Richard I have to say I was truly shocked to learn of your departure; You my brother in arms;  We were in Vietnam in the same time frame;  Even some of the in same places.   You were destined to show case your talents musically while the rest of the world (us) would only bask in your resultant efforts.  World class drummer along with your brother is my memory of you.  Rest in peace Primo.
    

We will certainly miss our neighbor of over 46 yrs. He was a good man. A kind and gentle soul. Always ready to help others. Through the years we have had incidents when we had to call on Richard, and he always came to the rescue. He loved older people and that was a plus for us. Just like a good neighbor he was always there. Never a cross word. Richard loved his wife Ramona and all his children and grandkids. He showed his love for all to see  He has entered into a well deserved rest. 


I would like to share a memory of Richard , Ramona and her brother Roy . It was a time in my life where i had take care of my Dad Pablo Ordaz Barrera that was Roy and Ramona cousin . They came to Dallas to see my Dad on his last days in life . Richard was the kind of Man with a Golden Heart and a Man that showed a lot of Respect to my Dad . When we lost our Dad , all 3 of them came to Lubbock to show and give their Respects to my Dad . Now me and my Familia will be going to Houston to pay our Respects to a Man that will always be Remembered and Respected !!! I would like to know that if there is anything we can do to help in theses hard time it would be our pleasure to help !!!! We feel very sad in our Hearts for your lost . We will never forget Richard and he will always stay in our memories and Heart .  May God give him a Beautiful room and Beautiful Wing's to look over his wife and children . May he rest in Peace !!

Richard , it seems like yesterday (1980) you and Ramona welcomed us into your home.  We were new to your area and right away we felt like a wonderful family adopted us.  We are very happy that we kept in touch with our adopted  family.  Our visits were always full of laughter and great food.  We shared family photos and always talked about our casino or cruise trips.  You were a kind soul and my good friend Ramona adored you.    May the lord give you your angel wings so that you may continue to sing and play your music.  You will be dearly missed.  Your friends from the valley,  Jesse and Sylvia.  

Dad, I’m going to miss you so much.  Rest In Peace, can’t wait to see you again. 

I took this picture while tailgating once at a Texans game. Richard would get so furious when we would lose a game. He would be jamming out the entire time to Ricky’s  music 🎶 playing.  Rest in peace Richard you will be truly missed. 

Razo Family. Sorry to hear of Richad's  passing. He was the most outstanding  talent I worked with. his drums were outstanding-HIS TRUMPET WAS GREAT-BUT HIS VOICE WAS OUT OF THIS WORLD.  HE WAS ONE OF A KIND   HE WILLBE MISSED.

Dad,

Thank you for being an amazing father to us.  You cared for us, raised us, taught us the difference between right and wrong, provided shelter, taught us to work hard, loved us unconditionally, etc.  Thank you for taking care of mom for all  these years, you were an awesome husband to her.  Thank you for all the love you showed to the grand kids and great grand kids.  You gave them memories that will last a life time.    I know there are countless others whose lives you have touched with your humor and kindness.  The music world will miss the entertainment and memories you provided.  Dad you will never be forgotten.  Love you dad!!!

I love you dad!! Our life will never be the same without you!! We loved you so much however god needed you more. You will watch over us while you are playing your music with the angels you  have touched our lives forever! You I promise will never be forgotten.
