Richard Francis Koskey

Helicopter Crew Chief and Helicopter Gunman. Richard Francis Koskey passed away on July 19, 2024. Richard Koskey joined the Army on January 26, 1969. He served with the 25th Aviation until being honorably discharged as an E5 on September 6, 1970. During this time in active duty he received National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and Vietnam Campaign Medal. Thank you for your service and dedication to our country. Richard Koskey was born on August 18, 1948 in Hancock, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his mom Eva Koskey, father Herman Koskey, and sisters Barbara and Donna. He is survived by wife Debra Koskey, son's Gene Puryear, James Puryear (Beth), multiple grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, as well as many great friends and loved ones.

A gathering for Richard will be held Thursday, August 1, 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038. Following the gathering will be a committal service from 10:15 AM to 10:45 AM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038.
