Ricky was born on December 26,1981 in Houston, TX to Thomas (Rick) Gardner and Deborah Woodley (Stanford).
He was a hardworking employee of Seatrax for 10 years. Many of his colleagues would say he was “a hand” - a term used in the oil industry for someone who, without question, would lend “a hand” where ever and whenever needed.
Ricky was known for his infectious smile, and his kind and sociable spirit. He was an extremely genuine person and had a generous soul, always willing to help someone in need. A true one-of-a-kind. He loved and adored his son, Colton, dearly and was a wonderful dad. Ricky had a passion for fast cars and it continues to shine through Colton. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Ricky is survived by his son, Colton Gardner; his mother, Deb Woodley; his brother, Ryan Woodley and wife Evangeline Woodley; his sister, Ericka Orlando and husband Layne Orlando; Grandfather, Jimmy Lee Stanford; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Ricky is preceded in death by his biological father, Rick Gardner, and second father, Doug Woodley; Grandparents, James and Rubye Kohli; Grandmother, Gloria Applewhite.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 10th, 2021 at 2 o’clock at the Chapel of The Texas Liberty Mausoleum at Reflection Lake, Memorial Oaks Funeral Home and Cemetery, off of Katy Freeway (i-10) and Eldridge.
In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make a contribution to a fund for Colton. All proceeds will go to his future education.
