Reba was a quiet, meek, and simple soul. She genuinely cared about her family and friends and had a passion for giving and helping others. She enjoyed reading her bible. She worked at Heights Hospital for over 15 years; but one of her most joyous accomplishment was working at Mervyns department store, in Fairfield California, where she worked diligently in many departments until her retirement at age 74. We knew her co-workers really appreciated her work ethics when they would work on the Sundays that she was scheduled to work and allowed her to be off on Sundays to go to church.
She confessed her faith to Christ at an early age at Bethlehem Baptist Church, in Chireno, Texas as well as Metropolitan Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. After moving to Fairfield, California she united with True Love Missionary Baptist Church where she was a faithful member and served on many ministries until her return to Texas where she joined Bethany Baptist Church in Houston, Texas and attended until her health prevented her from attending.
She was married to the late Bunch Fowler Jr. and together they raised 6 children. Two children preceded her in death daughter Debra Jene Fowler Coleman, and son Michael Jo Fowler.
She leaves to cherish 4 children: Trudy Garner, Doris Elder, Craig Fowler, Sheila McDaniel (Sam), Five grandchildren: Richelle Mitchell, Tommie Elder III, Ashley Elder Bradford (DeMarco), Akia Fowler (Nancy), Isoke Martin (Kreston). Seven great-grandchildren: Chazz Utley-Mitchell, Nylah Bradford, Audrina Fowler, Kai Fowler, Kailee Rose Fowler, Karter Martin, and Knox Martin. Two sisters, Perry Matthews (Claremont, California), Velma Cunningham (Fort Worth, Texas), and one brother, Bobby Garner (Houston, Texas) and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
