Raymond G. Johnson, Jr., loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, Vietnam veteran, and retired Houston firefighter, passed peacefully into the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ on July 5, 2021 at the age of 74, surrounded by family.
He was born November 23, 1946 in Houston, Texas. Raymond is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Nan; daughter, Stephanye West and husband Bert of New Braunfels, Texas; son, Scott Johnson and wife Rachel of Spring, Texas; brother, Craig Johnson of Houston, Texas; and cherished grandchildren: Victoria and Ty West; Jillian, Gwendolyn, and Elizabeth Johnson.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond G. Johnson, Sr., and Erma J. Riley Johnson.
He lived a good life and was known for his love of family, his giving heart, his strength, and always striving to do the right thing in all situations.
His family takes comfort in knowing he is with our Lord.
The family will receive friends for a visitation on Monday, July 12, 2021 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. followed by a Graveside service to begin promptly at 2:30 p.m. at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039.
