Raymond was a Commercial Artist who began his career airbrushing approximately 40 years for Murals and Big Art. He had a unique way that he expressed his art and was inspired by the Art Deco style with exaggeration forms of males or females. He worked locally within the Houston area. He also created a character called "The Offical Baby Watcher" depicted as an actual watchman standing guard over newborns and also young siblings.
Raymond is preceded in death by his parents, Roman & Reyes Guerra Gatica and brother, Rudy Gatica.
He is survived by his wife, Milagros Arroyo of 22 years, brothers, Felipe Gatica & wife Estafana, Benito Gatica, Roman Gatica; sisters, Lupe Figueroa & husband Frank, Genoveva Gatica, Lucy Usky & husband Larry, Christina Otero & husband Daniel, MaryAnn Dieterly & husband Dan, Corina Garcia & husband Anthony, Irene Dimas & husband Rick; 25 nieces and nephews; 25 great nieces and great nephews; 7 great great nephews and great great nieces; along with numerous cousins and many friends.
