Raymond grew up in Zeigler, Illinois. He graduated from high school and joined the military. He served in the Army during WWII. He married Violet Jean and had two beautiful daughters. Raymond attended the 1st United Methodist Church Humble.
Raymond had many jobs in his life time. He was a milkman, insurance salesman, elector motive, and finally a postal worker. He was associated with the organization APWU. Raymond was an avid miniature train collector. He built many N-scale models for his trains.
Raymond is survived by; daughter Melissa D. Catalan; and daughter Iris L. Drapela; grandson Jesse Catalan, grandson Nick Drapela (Ashtyn), granddaughter Whitney Miller (Matt) and great grandson Josiah Catalan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Violet Jean Calonne; daughter, Denise Calonne; mother, Egele Van Breusegem and father, Emile Calonne.
