Preston Michael Rushing

Preston Michael Rushing, 63, of Conroe, Texas, passed away January 8, 2023. He was born in Houston Texas on April 24, 1959. Preston Michael Rushing graduated from MacArthur Highschool and received his teaching certification from Sam Houston State University in 2004. He then went on to teach shop at Oak Ridge High School for an entire 4 weeks where he decided he needed to quit before he killed somebody.

He was married to Dale Annette Pennington on July 29, 1978. Preston Michael Rushing worked as a carpenter for many years and later became a Project Manager for Sempra Infrastructure. He was a member of Kingwood Church of Christ. He had a passion for driving his tractor, fishing and watching the Astros. But more than anything, his heart and soul, was his wife, his kids and his grandkids.

Preston Michael Rushing was preceded in death by his father Preston E. Rushing, and granddaughter Kayli Grace Rushing.

He is survived by his wife Dale Rushing; his mother Gay Nell Rushing; his son Michael Rushing and wife Crystal; his daughter Melody Young and husband James; grandchildren Jewls and Preston Young; Kayden, Peyton, and Easton Rushing; James and EmmaLee Paul and sisters Gayla Landrum and Connie Talbert.

A visitation for Preston will be held Thursday, January 12, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Kingwood Church of Christ, 2901 Woodland Hills Dr., Kingwood, TX 77339. A funeral service will occur Thursday, January 12, 2023 at 11:00 AM, 2901 Woodland Hills Dr., Kingwood, TX 77339. A bural will occur Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
