Phillip Rodriguez Hernandez

Tati graduated from Charles H. Milby High School. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War where he honorably received the Purple Heart. Tati loved baseball and played for the Magnolia Tigers as “Catcher”. He also coached baseball for many years at the East End Little League.

He was preceded in by his parents: Felipe “Phil” Hernandez & Ramona “Rae” Hernandez; his precious son, Keith Dexter Hernandez; his sister, Margaret “Margie” Sanchez.

Tati is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 46 years, Rita Navarro Hernandez; sons: Phillip “Cisco” Hernandez and Joel Simon Hernandez; granddaughter, “His Princess” Gia Bianka Hernandez; his sisters: Mary Linda Manriquez and Lisa Loraine Cano; numerous relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 in the Grand Chapel at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale, Houston, TX 77023. The funeral procession will depart the funeral home to the church at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 4, 2017. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 2320 Oakcliff St., Houston, TX 77023. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale.
